Drummond Golf

Drummond golf held a competition for their new environmentally friendly bags. The theme was to combine golf with what mental health means to you. Which is such a fantastic concept.

I had a client come to me with an excellent idea but (in his words) "didn't have the skills to do it", so he asked if I could help. This is what we came up with together.

I wanted to combine the colours of Drummond Golf with my design, whilst also incorporating the recycle symbol, the silhouette of the golfer and the ball. The ball had to be big enough for the text but not so big that it seemed out of place. I also wanted the background to blend in seamlessly with the illustration but not over power it so I provided my client with 3 options (As seen below). I was also unsure about whether the recycle symbol looked better without the lines or with so I also provided both options to my client. Ultimately he chose the grey background without lines. 

Whilst we did not win the competition, I really enjoyed creating this design and the illustration involved with it, as it started as a traditional print design before it progressed to digital.
